About Tracy
I have spent the past fifteen years as a Child and Youth Worker in community and school settings. Children, youth, and their families have been my greatest teachers. They taught me to hone my ability to create connections and be compassionate and empathetic. In the past few years, I realized that becoming a counsellor was my calling and a natural next step in my personal and professional development.
I am interested in many modalities and collaborate with the client to determine the best fit for the presenting problem. I utilize techniques from various therapies such as cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT), mindfulness cognitive-behaviour therapy (MCBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT). I love working within trauma-informed and strength-based models and am especially interested in incorporating play when working with children and youth.
How does Tracy relax when she is outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, family, and friends. I also love watching sports on the sidelines, cheering on my kids or on television. I enjoy listening to a podcast or reading a book during my downtime.
