Let’s Spread Some Encouragement and Make A Difference!
This year has been a challenge for everyone! The holidays this year are going to look very different for us, and likely keep us from being with family and friends. It’s also kept many of the great causes in our community from holding their usual events that help raise funds for the much needed programs in our community.
Our Creative Director, Meg Neufeld, created this original painting out of a desire to encourage everyone as we continue through the COVID-19 pandemic. Inspired by the well known words from Dr. Bonnie Henry, our desire is for everyone is to be be kind, be calm, and of course, be safe.
Even in the time of COVID-19, “Hope Blooms.” This piece is about expressing our love, gratitude, and compassion for other by what we do and say. It is also about supporting the most vulnerable, acknowledging that others need our support. It is times like theses where art can make all the difference to keep our spirits up. May Dr. Bonnie Henry’s words ring true and bring you strength to weather this storm. “Be calm, be kind, be safe.” – Meg Neufeld
We have many causes close to our hearts here at Alongside You, but none perhaps as close as our own Step Forward Program and that of Azure Place. Our Step Forward Program provides much needed subsidy funds to folks trying to access our services where finances are a challenge. Azure Place provides much needed safety and housing for women and children fleeing from domestic violence.
Since we can’t hold any events or get together, we thought we’d try to use the power of art and encouragement to raise much needed funds for these causes this year as we end 2020 and look forward to 2021 and better and healthier times. Both mental health issues and rates of domestic violence are on the rise. Neither of these issues care that a pandemic is going on – they keep going and so many are affected.
Will you join us in encouraging others through the gift of art, and our efforts to raise funds to support mental health and vulnerable families fleeing domestic violence? We all could use some encouragement, and we need your help.
This print is a professionally scanned and prepared, 13″x13″ high quality print on Lasal Photo Matte paper, provided by our friends at Tricera Imaging. We cannot thank them enough for their support of this endeavour and providing their services at a cost that makes this possible.
$40 from every print sold will be given to these two causes – $20 to the Step Forward Program and $20 to Azure Place.
So, buy one for yourself. Buy one for your friend, your family member, your boss! Buy some to bring to your nearest care home, mental health centre, or hospital. Let’s spread some love and encouragement, and raise funds to provide professional and practical supports for those needing it most in these challenging times!

Your print will come packaged in a kraft paper tube for protection and you may pick up your print from our clinic or we can ship it anywhere in Canada for a flat rate of $15!
