About Lauren

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a deep passion for supporting others through life’s challenges. My own journey of navigating personal hardships has profoundly shaped who I am today, giving me a unique insight into the resilience of the human spirit. These experiences, with my professional training, drive my commitment to helping others heal and grow. I’m dedicated to creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel truly seen and heard. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and a genuine curiosity about your story. Together, we’ll work to explore and expand your strengths and navigate life’s complexities with authenticity and courage.

My counselling approach draws from an existential therapy perspective, integrated with a trauma-informed lens. I honor and respect the diverse identities and life experiences of each individual, recognizing their uniqueness and tailoring my approach to meet each person’s specific needs. My role is to work collaboratively with you, helping you uncover your authentic self in a safe and nonjudgmental environment.

How does Lauren relax when she is outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love listening to podcasts or reading a book, especially on my patio when the weather is nice! I also make an effort to stay active by going to the gym, walking outdoors, or attending exercise classes, as it benefits my mental and physical health.

What does Lauren consider to be the most important value?

Openness is an important value to me because it encourages authenticity in relationships by creating an environment where individuals feel safe to express their true selves. It also involves embracing diverse perspectives, ideas, and experiences without judgment.
