About Jag

Before pursuing my doctorate in psychology, I was a kinesiologist. And what I realized early on was that so many people were actually struggling with mental, not physical problems: it was the stress and anxiety in their lives, not their exercise routine, that needed attention. Now, having studied the mind, I see the reverse just as often. We’ve spent far too long treating the mind and body as separate, and my goal with you is to reconnect them, since that’s often where the healing really happens.

I like giving people practical tools they can use day-to-day, while also digging deeper to find the roto problem. Think of it like a fever: you can manage symptoms, sure, but the real question is what’s causing it: a common cold or something more serious. Mental health works the same way. I’ll definitely help you manage your symptoms, but I’m far more curious about what’s causing them, so we can actually get to the bottom of it, together.

How does Jag relax when he is outside of work?

I’m a sucker for Type 2 fun with friends… the kind of activities that are borderline miserable or exhausting while you’re doing them but somehow become the funniest and most memorable experiences of your life. While it’s not necessarily “relaxing,” it definitely fills my cup outside of work.

What does Jag consider to be the most important value?

Humility. It isn’t about thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself less. I think this really opens the door to showing up for others with love, and being authentically yourself.
