How did Susan begin the journey?

Susan’s journey with yoga and nutrition began after being diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune disease. Before her diagnosis, she was unable to walk and move around due to chronic pain.

Susan completed her 250-hour yoga teacher training program at Langara College. She has is also trained Keitumetse: the Practice of I Am Happy with Julia Bain Johnson, Elise Browning Miller in Yoga for Scoliosis, Sherry LeBlanc for Yoga for the Special Child, and Maggie Denison for the Stairway to the Calm program. In addition to her training, she has completed Langara College’s Therapeutic Yoga for Chronic Pain Management certificate program.


How can Susan help You?

Susan hopes to inspire and empower people to move with an open heart, lightness and joy on and off their mats and live a happy and holistic life. She provides private and group sessions for therapeutic yoga and nutritional consulting.

Through therapeutic yoga sessions, Susan has extensive experience working with youth and teens with special needs and developmental needs including autism, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, and juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA).

She supports clients nutritionally and holistically that have health concerns related to digestive issues, food sensitivities, autoimmune conditions, hormonal imbalances, chronic fatigue, and chronic pain.


What is Susan like outside of work?

Outside of work, Susan spends time with her family and friends. She enjoys hiking, kayaking and swimming aside from practicing yoga. She believes in making space for self-care whether that is a mid-day walk, reading, journaling, or making a nourishing meal. Susan currently volunteers with Cassie and Friends on their Family Day committee to help children and families with rheumatic diseases. She has a weak spot for chocolate.
