About Stefanie:

Stefanie has over 15 years of experience working with children and families in non-profit, public health, and private practice sectors.

Using a mind-body approach, Stefanie joins clients to explore the experiential qualities of emotion to support change in their lives. Her work with children, individuals, and families is guided by Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Stefanie’s developmental play background and her experience as a dance educator offer clients of all ages creative approaches to transforming relational and behavioural patterns. Rooted in Family Systems therapies, Stefanie believes emotional shifts experienced in the body create healing for generations.

What would Stefanie be doing if she did not pursue the career path she has right now?

If Stefanie was not working with children and families, she would likely still be working as a professional Hip Hop dance choreographer. Before specializing in early childhood development, she choreographed for school teams, dance studios, and modelling agencies in addition to performing locally and internationally.

How does Stefanie relax when she is outside of work?

Outside of work, Stefanie enjoys spending time with her family. Whether it be singing made-up songs, dancing in the kitchen, or making playdough (or slime, or goop), there’s always some creative process happening in her home.
