Services for First Responders at Alongside You
At Alongside You we value the service of our first responder community. We understand that your jobs involve unique challenges and stressors and it is our desire to support you in whatever way that we can.
All of our clinical services are available to you at any time, as always. At the same time we want to offer services specifically tailored to your needs. We are currently developing some of the services and will update this page as they become available.
We are proud to support you and your work, and we would love to hear how we can support you even better. Please don’t hesitate to let us know by calling us or contacting us through the website.
Whether you are from the Vancouver Police, Delta Police, RCMP, Delta Fire Department, Surrey Fire Department, BC Ambulance Service, or another branch of first responder services, these services are for you.
Please see below for the specific services we’ve developed for you, in addition to all of our other clinic services available for your use.
Drop-In Brain Training with NeurOptimal Neurofeedback
As first responders, your brain goes through a workout every day you’re on the job. You train your muscles regularly, but how often do you train your brain? NeurOptimal Neurofeedback can train your brain safely, helping it function at its best, while allowing your brain and body to relax through activating the relaxation response in your central nervous system. More information on neurofeedback can be found here.
Flex those brain cells during a relaxing 30 minute walk-in neurofeedback session!
Please make sure to bring your own earbuds. Alternatively, earbuds may be purchased on-site while supplies last.
Dates and times: Every Tuesday, from 12:00 – 3:00 PM. The final available sessions will begin at 2:20 PM. As a walk-in program, sessions will run as availability allows.
Location: Held at our Ladner location, at #203-4840 Delta Street.
Fee: $30 (GST included). $5 from every session goes to our Step Forward Program to provide services for those needing some extra help.
Questions?: Please call our office at 604-283-7827 ext. 0.
