Online Mindfulness Group

Mindfulness is simply the practice of tuning into the present moment, rather than being swept away by thoughts about the future or the past. By practicing mindfulness, we change the wiring of our brains, giving us more of an opportunity to choose where our thoughts go, and to have more control over our reactions.

Each week, a Registered Clinical Counsellor will guide the group through experiential mindfulness practices and will offer strategies to build mindfulness into our every day lives. Through these practices and strategies, you can expect to:
 

  • Become more present in your life and in relationships
  • Increase your ability to focus
  • Improve your sleep
  • Better manage and process emotions
  • Decrease symptoms of anxiety and depression

Dates and times: Weekly, every Thursday evening, 7:00pm – 7:30pm.

Ages: 15 years of age and older.

Location: Online using our secure video platform.

Fee: Free during COVID-19. Finances shouldn’t get the way of your care, especially in this time. If you are in the position to, please consider a donation to our Step Forward Program for community members with dire financial need.
