Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Crisis Counselling
I was born and raised in South Delta and am excited to find myself back in my old hometown. My life has gone in many different directions over the years. I’ve worked as a custodian, camp counsellor, construction worker, a writer, and a reporter. I found my passion in the world of counselling, where I can work with you to get the support and resources you need at whatever stage of life you find yourself in.
The area I am most passionate about working in is grief and crisis counselling. Life can be so unpredictable and sometimes we find ourselves dealing with loss, emergencies, and other unexpected things that throw all our careful planning into complete chaos. In those times, we need someone to come beside us to listen, support, and stick with us through those stormy seas. I’ve been there myself many times and I know that no one person’s grieving or life catastrophe is the same as anyone else’s. I am passionate about joining you in your personal journey, whatever that may be.
I am with Alongside You as I work on my student practicum. I am excited to work in South Delta and continue learning more from clients.
What does Clayton consider to be the most important value?
I think compassion is something I treasure in others and I want to keep building in myself. Simple acts of compassion, from a listening ear to a strong advocate, can make a world of difference and make a different world. I want to use the power of compassion to change lives, even if it’s just the life of one person at a time.
How does Clayton relax when he is outside of work?
Outside of the office, I have a fierce passion for books of all types: from Charles Dickens to Charlie Brown. I’m an avid movie fan as well and am part of a weekly film club.
